Callus95 0.42 Patch 2.2
-----------------------

INFORMATION
-----------

This is a patched version of Callus95 0.42, made by Bloodlust Software allowing
extra games, DIP settings and features that were unknown at the time of release.

99.9% of Callus and Callus95 is written by Sardu, we take no credit for this
great CPS-1 system emulator... All credit belongs to Sardu, may the legend live.

Callus95 has not been officially updated since 06/24/1998.
Thus, it can be considered as a dead project.

WE DON'T HAVE ANY CALLUS OR CALLUS95 SOURCE CODE, NOR ANY ACCESS TO SOURCE CODE.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* NOTES *
---------

If you are new to Callus95 please read through the last official 'README.TXT' file
(included with zip) for full instruction on how to run and use Callus95.

ROM names have changed to match MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) so allot
of ROM's in old Callus archives will not work in this version. If you would like
to know the new ROM names select option 'write gamelist' in the Callus95 menus,
then browse through the newly created 'GAMELIST.TXT' in your Callus95 directory.

All ROM sets are merged with the World version being the main set where possible.
This means that any Japanese or U.S.A. revision of a game will need its ROM's
included in the same zip or directory that holds the World version. Information
on where ROM's should be stored is also displayed in the 'GAMELIST.TXT' file but
remember to create a new one first (explained above).

Read through the 'KNOWN PROBLEMS' (bottom of this file) before sending bug reports.
If you have any questions not answered in the readme files you could try joining
#CPS2Shock on EFnet and see if anyone can help you there.

The game has been reversed engineered to add the following which is
missing from the normal CPS Changer version.

Attract mode sounds (wind, lightning etc)

*note* Qsound ROM's can be in a file 'QSOUND.ZIP' in your roms dir.

ADDED
-----

Callus95 will now load games from either split or merged ROM sets. You will
need to set the 'display_split_romset' option to 'ON' in the 'CALLUS95.INI'
if using split merged ROM's. This will make Callus95 display correctly the
available games, the option is 'OFF' by default.

    The Stretch option now remembered.

CHANGES
-------

Removed 'pnicku' from the gamelist. It's now activated by setting the option
'pnickies_test_version' to 'ON' in the 'CALLUS95.INI' file. Only one pnickies
game will show in the main gamelist or gamelist.txt at any time.

Street Fighter Zero (Japan, CPS Changer) has had its name changed. All ROM info
remains the same. Street Fighter Alpha (USA, CPS Changer) has been removed.

New options added in 'CALLUS95.INI' to change language / region for Street Fighter
Zero, these options affect both Qsound and non Qsound games. If you want to play
Street Fighter Alpha set 'region' to 'USA'.

possible settings for Language are: portuguese
					  spanish
					  english
					  japanese

possible settings for Region are: euro
					  asia
					  brazil
					  japan
					  usa
					  hispanic

The option 'all_characters' will place all characters in the game at character
    selection if set to 'ON'.

Street Fighter II' C.E. (QSound hack) has been removed. If you want to use Qsound
with SF2 set the option 'sf2_qsound' to 'ON' in the 'CALLUS95.INI' file. This will
enable *ALL* SF2 games to use Qsound. The Qsound ROM's needed can also be in the
file 'QSOUND.ZIP' with the SFZ Qsound Rom's. *Note* You cannot write a new
'GAMELIST.TXT' file while this option is on.

Pang!3 ROM names are changed to match MAME37b4.

KNOWN PROBLEMS (please read before reporting bugs)
--------------------------------------------------

Vertical Games like 1941 and Varth are displayed sideways.

Street Fighter Zero / Alpha (Qsound hack)
Player sounds arn't in stereo and only use one channel.
During attract mode some speach dosen't always cut after fight scenes.
The bird sound dosn't stop after knock down untill more sounds occur.
Some character sounds are still missing compared to the CPS-2 version.
    Sound fades don't work.

Street Fighter Zero / Alpha
Adon's body disappears if he is thrown against the left side of the screen.

Forgotten Worlds / Lost Worlds
There is a very small sprite priority error in the later levels.

Pang! 3 (all versions)
The EPROM format is not supported so things like continue are not available.

Warriors of Fate (all versions)
There are sprite priority errors at the main gate on the third level.
Also line scroll missing on Fire Level.

Mega Twins (all versions)
Line scroll missing during gameplay. This error is in the original callus also.

Street Fighter C.E. (All versions)
There are sprite priority errors in ryu's ending.

Quiz & Dragons
There is a logo misplacement and line scroll missing on title screen
during attract mode. This error is in the original callus also.

King of Dragons (JAP) and (Bootleg) only
Line scroll missing at the start of the player select screen.
This error is in the original callus also.

Magic Sword (all versions)
Line scroll effects are missing (when using magic for example).
This error is in the original callus also.

Carrier Air Wing (all versions)
Missing Sprites. For example the helicopter that drops tanks midway in the
second level is invisible, also structures you destroy to fly through
building. Line scroll later in game is also missing. This bug is in
    the original callus also.

Tenchi wo Kurau
If a flaming branch hits you (level 7) it displays as garbage. On level 8 there
is garbage on the screens and the end of the game has bad sprite priorities.

Saturday Night Slammasters (World) / Muscle Bomber Duo (World)
This game can lockup and also has missing GFX due to game protection.
